Infographic: Password

I have been receiving 2 emails from Twitter within a month, stating that my password might have been compromised and asked me to change it. I have already changed it to very difficult to crack, good quality password. But seems like Twitter got problem nowadays.

Anyway, just to share with you an infographic regarding password.

Here are a few tips:
1. don't use words that can be find in dictionary
2. mix capital and small letters, number and special characters

If you have at least 9 characters, and with 2 rules mentioned above, it will takes more than 44 years to crack your password, meaning it will be very very safe.

Time to change your password eh?

Danger of Smartphone

Ah... Smartphone. We are all tied up with it, be it from iPhone to Android, or some like me which still on Windows Mobile.
[I know some of you will yell, WHAT? Windows M*****?] Anyway, yes, I am still using my Windows Mobile. It is will working, what why would I want to change it? But anyway, I started to get to know about Android when I start playing with Android apk on the emulator called BlueStacks. And ever since I bought the Samsung Galaxy W for my wife, I have been the 'after-sales-service' guy for her.

How to Google with More Effective

Google, Yahoo, Bing! are 3 major search engine. However I use only Google daily, I will use Yahoo and Bing! when I cannot find the info on Google, but Google always give me what I ask it to search. Secret? Using this infographic. I found out I have been using some of the methods frequently, therefore this is a very good reference for you too and I should share it here!

Thing to note: Some of the tips showed here are for MacOS, might not work for Windows.
Keyboard Shortcuts:
1. Press CRTL on Windows vs Command on MacOS
2. CTRL+~ and CTRL+tab does nothing on Windows unless you have apps use these shortcut or you assigned them on special tasks.
3. Press "Print Screen" or "Prt Sc" to capture whole screen on Windows
4. Press "Alt+Print Screen" to capture only the Windows you working on
5. Press "Windows+s" to select the area for print screen if you have Microsoft OneNote

Waste time Sunday

It is Sunday in Penang. How about a waste time post on Sunday? I haven't do any waste time post on Sunday before, so here it is.

I am a Star Wars geek, I am very interested with anything to do with Star Wars. Evident:
1. I watched Star Wars movies for more than 10 times. Okay, only episode IV, V, and VI. Not so with I, II and III.
2. I followed the animated series "Clone Wars".
3. I subscribed to Star Wars official newsletters.

Alright, alright, I am not so Star Wars geek after all, otherwise I would join the "Star Wars Freeze Mob" at Queensbay Mall (Penang) yesterday. I don't buy any Star Wars toys and t-shirts. The only thing I bought was DVD. HAHA.

Today is the last day of 2011!
Now, before we go to face the 'End of The World year - 2012', there is a summary of battle of technologies and gadgets.

If you are old enough, you should have known these products or gadgets from somewhere or used these products or gadget before.

Sega Genesis vs Super Nintendo - both are retired now
Laserdisc vs DVD - DVD still popular since BD still expensive
Nook vs Kindle - on going fight!
BD vs HD-DVD - BD won, but for how long since nowadays more and more people are moving to online streaming
PS3 vs Xbox360 vs Wii - on going fight!
Zune vs iPod - iPod won, most people at countries outside of US never ever see the Zune real product anyway.
